Spool type
The Smart Spool™ provides valuable information on material type, color and remaining quantity directly to the MakerBot Print software via an RFID chip. A desiccant in the spool also ensures a low moisture content in the material shaft of the MakerBot Method 3D printer.

Working environment
Store the MakerBot Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber material in the included polyester bag to prevent moisture absorption from the air. Absorbing moisture from the air can affect the quality of the material and its performance. Make sure the built-in desiccant is in the spool to absorb moisture during the material loading process.
