Raise3D Pro3 Series

Raise3D Pro3 Series

Prototyping and production made easy – reliable, fast and flexible

The new professional 3D printers from Raise3D are the Raise3D Pro3 and Pro3 Plus. They are based on the Pro2 series, but have been significantly improved and further developed. The Raise3D Pro3 series meets the requirements of both production and rapid prototyping for different component sizes. They impress with high precision and stable operation around the clock. The Raise3D Pro3 series consists of the Raise3D Pro 3 with a build volume of 300x300x300mm and the Pro 3 Plus with a build volume of 300x300x605mm. These print volumes enable the printing of many small as well as individual large components. The structure of the machine has been reinforced, equipped with additional sensors and functions and an intelligent assistance system called EVE. The high level of user-friendliness and the easily exchangeable dual extruder make the Raise3D Pro3 series a professional FFF 3D printer.

The FFF 3D printers of the Pro3 series can be seamlessly integrated into the Raise3D 3D printing software environment. This includes a 3D slicing program (ideaMaker), a 3D printer cloud-based management software (RaiseCloud) and an online print profile collection called ideaMaker Library.

Improved and extended functions

The Raise3D Pro3 series has been significantly improved and equipped with new functions. As a result, the Raise3D Pro 3 and Pro 3 Plus offer even better printing performance and a better overall experience.

  • Automatic build plate leveling makes setting up the 3D printers faster, easier and increases reliability and print quality.
  • The flexible build plate allows the 3D printed parts to be easily removed from the build platform.
  • The Z-axes have been stiffened by 75% to achieve smoother operation and better printing results.

These hardware improvements and technical innovations enable the Pro3 series to offer improved print quality and easier handling.

Raise3D Pro3 Series Dual-Extruder

Replaceable covers & hot ends

The Raise3D Pro 3 series is equipped with a modular dual extrusion system. The ability to change the hot ends quickly and easily allows the Pro 3 series to print with a variety of filaments. The option to process certain materials with separate hot ends increases reliability and reduces potential clogging.

Users can easily remove the front covers of the extruders. The hot ends of the Pro 3 series can be removed easily and without tools, making them simple to replace and maintain.

Improved air circulation & heat distribution thanks to Air Flow Manager

The Raise3D Pro3 series has an Air Flow Manager, which is located on the back of the printer. This improves heat distribution and air circulation, creating a stable environment in the printing chamber. The Air Flow Manager is also equipped with a HEPA air filter and cleans the air in the chamber.

Raise3D Pro 3 Series EVE

Intelligent assistance system for maintenance & servicing

The Raise3D Pro3 series has an integrated EVE assistance system. It contains frequently occurring printing problems and corresponding solutions. The EVE Assistant can help users to pinpoint and resolve issues that may affect the print job. In addition, the Raise3D EVE Assistant has a function that reminds the user of regular maintenance work. This ensures that the printers are serviced on time. It also helps to reduce maintenance time and make the maintenance process simple and efficient.

Raise3D Pro 3 Series Dual-Extruder 3D-Drucker

Professional 3D printers with dual extruder

A 3D printer with a dual extruder (two extruders) can, for example, produce models with two colors and/or two materials. A professional 3D printer with a dual extruder has additional design features that lead to a higher print quality.

The dual extruders in the Raise3D Pro 3 series use independent nozzle lift technology with fast nozzle switching. This means that the nozzles can be raised independently of each other and switched within a second without being affected by the 3D printing material or temperature.

Raise3D Pro3 & Pro 3 Plus Tech-Specs

What does high repeatability mean for a 3D printer?

In the 3D printing process, an object is built up from thin layers. In the FFF process, an extruder moves back and forth along the X and Y axes of the model to create a layer. It has to do this a thousand times or more for a tall object. If the extruder loses its position in the process, the 3D-printed object is imprecise or unusable. This is why a high level of repeat accuracy is required during the printing process. If you need a higher quantity of the same component, high repeatability is also required, as you want the same tolerances for all these components.

What is meant by high speed?

The speed refers to the total time required by the 3D printer to produce an object. On the one hand, however, this depends heavily on the type of project (geometry, stability, material, etc.). On the other hand, it is crucial how quickly the extruder can move or switch (e.g. from model to support material). The time it takes to change direction can also be decisive. A changeover time of <1 second means that the Pro3 series 3D printers can change direction in less than a second. This shortens the overall time of the 3D printing process. However, the time saving cannot be generalized, but depends on the project.

Why is a stroke distance of 1.5 mm advantageous for a 3D printer?

The stroke distance describes the distance between the nozzle of the stationary extruder and the component. There must be a certain distance to ensure that one nozzle does not interfere with the printing process of the other nozzle. The stroke distance of 1.5 mm for the Pro3 series reliably guarantees high-quality 3D printing with the dual extruder.

Improved user-friendliness

Raise3D Pro 3 Breitbandkabel

Lightweight broadband cable with digital temperature measurement

In the Raise3D Pro3 series, the drag chain cable of the Pro2 series has been replaced by a lightweight broadband cable. This allowed Raise3D to reduce the weight of the extruder. Consequently, the mass and center of gravity of the extruder improved, resulting in better print quality.

Raise3D Pro3 Series Auto Bed Leveling

The importance of automatic building panel leveling

Levelling the print bed ensures that the printing platform is as level as possible. With the Raise3D Pro3 series, this leveling is automated. Automatic build plate leveling ensures that the distance between the print nozzles and the print bed is set consistently. This improves the adhesion of the components to the print bed and enables high-quality first layers and clean angles.

HD camera for pressure monitoring

The Raise3D Pro 3 and Raise3D Pro 3 Plus are equipped with an HD camera to monitor the 3D printing process in real time. You can access the Raise3D printers and this camera remotely or on the move via RaiseCloud. In this way, the printing progress and the printing process are always under control. This not only provides peace of mind for some, but also helps with management if the printer is not at the office. Both 3D printers in the Raise3D Pro3 series are also equipped with an improved CMOS sensor for better image quality.

Improved security functions

Power failure recovery

A print job could be interrupted or even lost due to both a power failure and a filament failure (if the filament runs out) – even in the middle of the printing process. This is why the Raise3D Pro3 series has a filament run-out sensor on the extruders, which recognizes and issues a warning when the filament runs out. This means that the print job is interrupted for material loading. However, the current status is saved and the print job can then be continued. The FFF 3D printers in the Pro 3 series are also equipped with a power failure function. This saves the print status in the event of a power failure. In this way, the printing process can be continued at the same point as soon as the power supply is restored.

Automatic detection of door opening

The Raise3D Pro 3 series offers another safety feature: automatic detection when a door is opened. If the door is opened during the printing process, the printer immediately interrupts the process. As soon as the door is closed again, printing can continue.
