Raise3D MetalFuse enables low-cost metal 3D printing
With the MetalFuse system, Raise3D offers a complete solution for indirect 3D metal printing. The system consists of an FFF 3D printer for BASF metal filaments, a debinding station and a sintering station. In addition, the system is paired with a special software version of ideaMaker, which is compatible with MIM equipment.
The advantages of the MetalFuse system include low operating costs and the ability to carry out series production. MetalFuse is cheaper to purchase and saves more energy and is more environmentally friendly compared to processes such as CNC and SLM (Selective Laser Melting).
New technology for greater efficiency
Raise3D MetalFuse uses the catalytic debinding process. This reduces the processing time by 60% and leads to an increase in the density of the metal component of up to 97%.
High-quality metal filament from BASF
By using BASF Forward AM’s Ultrafuse 316L and Ultrafuse 17-4 PH metal filaments, MetalFuse is able to achieve better print repeatability and higher yields.
Use of a proven process
The catalytic debinding furnace (D200-E) and the sintering furnace (S200-C) are used for the post-processing of the “Green Parts”. This process has been developed on the basis of BASF’s expertise in metal injection molding (MIM).
Specialized slicing software
A special edition of the “ideaMaker” software offers templates that are optimized for this type of printing. The sintering and debinding process is taken into account. This special edition of ideaMaker also offers a simpler slicing process.
Touchscreen control panels
The machines have generous toughscrenns. A template can be selected and called up with just one click. The work history is saved and kept ready for review and reuse.
Environmentally friendly metal 3D printing
The systems have filters that clean the exhaust gases and bring them to a safe level. In addition, environmental pollution is reduced by the materials used and the cleaning of the exhaust air.
