SLA 3D printing workflow

All parts from SLA 3D printers need to be washed to remove resin residue and most benefit from post-curing to achieve maximum material properties.

Optimize your SLA 3D printing process with the large-format Form Wash L and Form Cure L post-processing machines. This is because they automate the post-processing of large components or large batches. This makes work processes significantly more efficient.

1. 3D printing

Print your parts with a Formlabs SLA 3D printer.

2. washing

For an even, automatic rinse, insert one large or two small building platforms directly into Form Wash L.

3. post-curing

Then post-cure the parts in the Form Cure L to optimize the material properties and achieve high dimensional accuracy.

4. finish

After removing any support structures, the parts are ready for use.

Form Wash L

The Form Wash L agitates the solvent and the components are rinsed. This removes the resin residue from the SLA parts. This gives you a smooth, clean and high-quality component every time. Once the washing process is complete, the parts are automatically lifted out of the solvent and can air dry.

Start and concentrate on other things again

As soon as you have started the machine, the entire cleaning process runs automatically. You can get back to other things. Simply use the pre-programmed wash settings for the washing process. If you have special requirements, you can also save your own settings and profiles. This way you always achieve the most efficient cleaning according to your needs.

Integrated solvent monitor

The integrated solvent monitor and cycle counter help you to maintain optimum cleaning performance. By alerting you when it is time to replace the solvent, you do not have to check it yourself.

Suitable for Form 3 and Form 3L

You can also clean Form 3 / Form 3B building platforms using the building platform adapter supplied. This allows you to alternate between washing a Form 3L building platform or two Form 3 building platforms with the same machine.

While you can get on with other work, the printed parts are cleaned in IPA or TPM so that every printed part is perfectly clean.

Form Cure L

Form Cure L ensures the optimum mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy of your printed components. To achieve this, the Form Cure L uses heat, UV light and uniform, universal exposure.

Optimized for the use of Formlabs materials

Use the pre-programmed curing settings for the Formlabs materials. If you have special requirements, you can also save your own frequently used profiles. This allows you to optimize the efficiency of post-processing according to your needs.

Fast and intensive curing

Two 500 W heaters reach a temperature of 80 °C in the Form Cure L in under 10 minutes. Three UV light modules then provide the optimum light wavelength to ensure fast and effective curing.

Uniform overall exposure

The interior of the Form Cure L is equipped with a reflective surface and a rotating glass table. This allows the UV light to reach all surfaces of the components and enables even curing.

As soon as the chamber is heated up, three LED modules simultaneously ensure optimum exposure, giving the printed parts their maximum mechanical properties.

Validated for biocompatible applications

The Formlabs Form Wash L and Form Cure L have been validated in FDA-approved workflows and are compatible with biocompatible, sterilizable materials manufactured in Formlabs ISO 13485 certified facilities.
