The Form 4B is a lightning-fast medical and dental 3D printer that offers the most comprehensive range of materials for dentistry, orthodontics and healthcare. Create high-quality dental models and biocompatible, sterilizable anatomical models and medical devices in no time. The Formlabs Form 4B ecosystem supports you with a simple workflow, unsurpassed reliability and superior print part quality.
The speed of the Form 4B is based on Formlabs’ new Low Force Display™ technology, a powerful printing system consisting of high-performance LEDs, collimator lenses, optical filters and a robust liquid crystal display. These components combine to ensure lightning-fast curing of the individual resin layers – regardless of the size and number of parts. Consistent surface precision guarantees that your models, applications and prostheses fit perfectly every time.

Intuitive to use. The same proven workflow, now 4x faster.
1. import your model and prepare your print.
2. load a material and click on Print.
3. remove, wash, harden.
4. finish your part.
Formlabs engineers have tested hundreds of printed parts to ensure that each material meets the most reliable standards, right out of the box.
The backlight unit uses 60 LEDs and collimating lenses to produce an even, flat projection of light with extremely high output. It cures the resin quickly and precisely, ensuring blazing fast print speeds with outstanding print quality and accuracy anywhere on the build platform.
The Light Processing Unit 4 (LPU 4) precisely masks the light from the Backlight Unit into the shape of a printed layer. Together, the Backlight Unit and LPU 4 enable printing with extreme speed, accuracy and print quality anywhere on the build platform. The LPU 4 is durable, resistant to accidental damage and easy to replace.
A proprietary, micro-textured optical film provides airflow between the resin container and the light processing unit. This film is integrated into the light processing unit and sits on top of it. This significantly reduces peel forces, allowing you to print at extremely high speeds without compromising surface finish, fine features, accuracy or reliability.
Six integrated control systems precisely measure and monitor the temperature, resin level, print forces and print status in your printer. Together, they ensure consistent, reliable performance and prevent common errors so that the same results are achieved with every printer and every print.
The Form 4 Resin Tank holds the liquid resin in the printer and provides a substrate on which the liquid resin cures by using a double-layer flexible film stack. This significantly reduces peel forces, allowing you to print at extremely high speeds without compromising surface finish, fine features, accuracy or reliability.
The integrated system for fast, precise and low-waste resin dispensing and easy material changes. Print without worrying about your printer running out of resin and change materials in <1 minute. The Form 4 remains one of the only SLA printers on the market to offer this feature.
