The easy way to digital production of dental applications
Save time by producing your own parts. Independently produce parts you can be proud of, more affordably and hassle-free. The Formlabs Form 3+ offers unparalleled reliability, quality and ease of use. The workflows for many standard applications have been tested and validated by a team of dental experts.
1. dental 3D scan
Capture the patient’s anatomy digitally with an intraoral scanner. Send the scans with a prescription to the laboratory or a design station.
2. planning and design
Import scan data into your dental CAD software, where the procedure or correction is virtually planned and prepared.
3. dental 3D printing
Import the designed CAD files into the PreForm print preparation software. You can complete the print setup with just a few clicks and then simply send the data to a Formlabs printer.
Follow-up & preparation
After validated work steps, you wash, dry and cure the parts. Depending on the application, further preparation such as sterilization is carried out. The parts can then be used intraorally or for other applications.
Advanced dental and medical 3D printing
The innovative Low Force Stereolithography (LFS)™ technology uses a flexible resin tank to reduce peel forces. The specially adapted and further developed Light Processing Unit (LPU) could be replaced by the user in the event of a fault. All of this leads to more consistent, more precise print products with incredible surface quality and part sharpness at an XY resolution of 25 μm. In addition, the printer is safer and even in the event of a malfunction, downtime is minimal.
The Form 3B+ is designed for production
With the Formlabs Form 3B+, which has a print volume of 145 x 145 x 185 mm, you can produce around 2-3 times more parts per build plate than with a DLP 3D printer equipped with a small build plate. This means you need less time to operate the printer and can spend more time on more important tasks. Compared to a DLP printer, the Form 3B+ saves you around 55% in working time and costs. Formlabs’ modular ecosystem enables unmatched consistency, scalability and redundancy in dental 3D printing.
