MakerBot PLA Filament
a bioplastic made from corn
Biocompatible
MakerBot PLA filament is the best and safest PLA for MakerBot 3D printers.
PLA (polylactic acid) is a bio-plastic made from corn.
Its colorants are food-safe and contain no heavy metals, phthalates or BPA.
The material is non-toxic and can be used safely in schools, offices or at home.
MakerBot Tough PLA Filament
For hard-wearing & impact-resistant prototypes
The MakerBot Tough PLA filament is as robust as ABS and yet as easy to print as PLA.
The MakerBot Tough PLA filament is as robust as ABS and yet as easy to print as PLA.
The filament is comparable to ABS in terms of its tensile, impact and flexural strength.
It has less warpage than ABS & is more durable than PLA – i.e. it is more flexible & breaks less quickly than PLA.
The material is non-toxic and can be used safely in schools, offices or at home.
