Create durable, impact-resistant prototypes with the MakerBot Tough PLA Filament Bundle. It includes 3 spools of Tough PLA Filament and a Tough PLA Smart Extruder+.
The filament is as robust as ABS and yet as easy to print as PLA filament. The MakerBot Tough PLA filament is comparable to ABS in its tensile, impact and bending strength. It has less warpage than ABS & is more durable than PLA – i.e. it is more flexible & breaks less quickly than PLA filament.
It is optimized for use with the interchangeable MakerBot Tough PLA SmartExtruder+.

The MakerBot Tough PLA filament is

Compatibility
To print the Tough PLA filament, you must select the bundle with the corresponding Tough PLA SmartExtruder+.

Software:
The MakerBot Print software is required to use the MakerBot Tough PLA and Tough PLA SmartExtruder+.
Attention:
Printing regular MakerBot PLA with the Tough PLA SmartExtruder+ will void the warranty.

Working environment
Store the MakerBot Tough PLA Filament in a cool, dry place. It can absorb moisture from the air and prolonged exposure to moisture can affect the quality of the filament and its performance.
