The building plate from MakerBot Method is made of spring steel. Bending the build plate makes it easy to remove the components from the plate. To ensure maximum precision, the so-called Spring Steel Build Plate is held flat on the build platform by several magnets. The heat from the heated build chamber of the MakerBot Method is absorbed by the plate and a layer of polycarbonate on the build plate and also ensures that the components adhere to the build plate.
