PA12 or Nylon 12 powder is a high performance material that offers a good balance between strength and detail. It is suitable for functional prototyping as well as for the production of end products. Complex components and assemblies can be manufactured with PA12 using the SLS process. The material is durable and has high environmental stability. The Formlabs Nylon 12 powder was specially developed for use in the Formlabs Fuse 1.

Nylon 12 Tough Powder offers the best refeed rate of any nylon powder, high ductility and excellent dimensional accuracy across the entire build chamber. Print more robust parts for prototyping and low-volume production that are more resistant to warping without sacrificing strength.

PA12 GF powder / Nylon 12 GF powder
The material for rigid, stable and functional components
PA12 GF or Nylon 12 GF powder is a glass-filled Nylon 12 material that offers increased stiffness and thermal stability for demanding industrial environments. It is suitable for functional prototyping as well as for the production of rigid, dimensionally stable end products. PA12 GF can be used in the SLS process to produce complex components and assemblies for applications where structural rigidity and thermal stability are crucial. The material withstands permanent loads and remains dimensionally stable even at high temperatures. Nylon 12 GF is a high-precision material with very low warpage and high environmental stability; it absorbs very little moisture and is resistant to light, heat and chemicals.

PA11 powder / Nylon 11 powder
The material for high performance and impact resistance
PA11 or Nylon 11 powder is ideal for highly ductile, robust components. PA11 powder is currently Formlabs’ highest performing nylon material for functional prototyping and small batch production. Compared to Formlabs Nylon 12, Formlabs Nylon 11 powder is significantly more flexible. It is also better suited to the production of thin walls in a component.

Carbon fiber SLS material for strong and lightweight components
PA11 CF or Nylon 11 CF powder is ideal for end uses that require both stiffness and high strength. PA11 CF powder combines all the advantages of nylon and carbon fiber in a highly stable, high-performance composite material. Choose Nylon 11 CF Powder for the manufacture of lightweight and rigid parts that can withstand impact and elevated temperatures.

What is the refresh rate?
One of the advantages of SLS 3D printing is the ability to work with a mixture of new and recycled powder. The powder refresh rate is the minimum amount of new powder that must be added to the recycled powder for printing.

How it works
The Fuse Sift powder recovery station automatically doses and mixes the powder for future prints. All you have to do is set the desired refresh rate on the Fuse Sift touchscreen.
The Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W not only enables the production of individual prototypes and end products, but also the manufacture of small series.
This machine can be used to produce series of up to 1,200 – 10,000 components – depending on the component geometry – at a competitive price.
