Win a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer for your school or yourself

3D printer school MINT competition

Summer is approaching, school will soon be over, but MakerBot Thingiverse motivates you to keep learning throughout the summer. Thingiverse launches five competitionsone for STEAM subject area (comparable to STEM): Math, electrical engineering, Natural Science, mechanics and art. The first competition ends on July 19 and the last on August 16. So you have the summer to draw, develop and learn. The winner of each competition will receive a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer.

Don’t you know how to draw or design for 3D printing? We think everyone can learn this. Use free accessible software like MakerBot Printshop, Tinkercat, 123D Design, Meshmixer or similar.

Your school can win too!

If you are a teacher or principal and dream of what your students could learn if your school had a MakerBot 3D printer, join the “Our school needs a 3D printer” group on Thingiverse. Each STEAM competition winner can select a school from this group, which will then also receive a 3D printer.

That makes ten lucky winners: five designers and five schools. The Thingiverse STEAM competitions are open to all ages and abilities – and sometimes the simplest designs are the best.
