Now the time has finally come: The MakerBot Tough PLA Smart Extruder+ and the MakerBot Tough PLA Filament are now available separately from us.
MakerBot Tough PLA SmartExtruder+
The Tough PLA SmartExtruder+ is suitable for printing Tough PLA filament on the Replicator Z18, Replicator+ and the Replicator 5th gen. However, we have also successfully printed NinjaFlex and Ingeo HT PLA (high temperature PLA filament) with it.
MakerBot Tough PLA Filament 0.9kg spool
The MakerBot Tough PLA filament is as robust as ABS and yet as easy to print as PLA. The filament is comparable to ABS in its tensile, impact and flexural strength – meaning it is more flexible and breaks less quickly than PLA. The mechanical properties make MakerBot Tough PLA ideal for functional prototypes, such as hinges, snaps, interlocking parts and threads.
