The white synthetic resin achieves smooth surfaces and fine details. It is particularly suitable for presentation models or as a base for further surface design.
White Resin is perfect for general prototyping and design work as well as models with intricate details. White Resin V4.1 is compatible with Form 3 series printers and produces parts in a purer white than White Resin V4. White Resin V4.0 and White Resin V4.1 have different formulations and pressure settings – for optimum performance, the two materials should not be mixed.
How to change from White Resin V4.0 to White Resin V4.1 ?
- Print all your existing White Resin V4.0 material.
- Clean your resin container (it does not need to be cleaned with IPA. It is sufficient to scrape out the existing resin with a plastic scraper).
- Start a print with a White Resin V4.1 cartridge and select the White Resin V4.1 settings in PreForm.
- The printer recognizes that the tank does not fit and asks if you want to reprogram the tank.
Confirm on the printer’s user interface and the White Resin V4.0 tank will be reprogrammed to White Resin v4.1.

Formlabs White Resin 1L cartridge V4.1
Formlabs White Resin is suitable for SLA 3D printing of strong, precise concept models and prototypes. It is one of the standard resins within the Formlabs material library. This white Formlabs resin has a matte surface finish. The material is opaque and reproduces the finest details. The neutral white is also suitable as a good base for parts that are to be subsequently painted or subjected to other finishing processes.
White Resin is ideal for demonstration parts, architectural or medical models.
