AMX 2021 – Looking back and looking ahead

From the From September 14 to 15, 2021, we took part in the AM-Expo 2021 in Lucerne. After a break of around two years, we were able to discuss new products and solutions with specialists, customers and interested parties at a trade fair for the first time again. Despite the coronavirus measures in place, a relatively large number of visitors made their way to AMX 2021, although not quite as many as in previous years. Nevertheless, we appreciated the space for personal exchange and were pleased to be able to maintain the network in direct conversation.

AM Expo and Swiss Medtech Expo together

For the first time, these two trade fairs were held together in the same place at the same time. A complete success from our point of view. We were able to draw attention to ourselves in advance with our showcase and during the trade fair with many examples from the fields of medicine and medical technology. As the two trade fairs took place at the same time, it was easy to make direct contact with interested parties afterwards. We see it as a positive development for Messe Luzern not just to give AMX a focus topic, but to supplement it with a parallel trade fair if necessary.

Formlabs at the stand and as a guest

In addition to the MakerBot METHOD Carbon Fiber, we presented the entire Formlabs product range at our stand: the SLA 3D printers Formlabs Form 3, Form 3L and the SLS 3D printer Formlabs Fuse 1, which attracted a lot of attention and a large number of visitors to our stand. Many interested parties were delighted to see and experience the machines in real life. However, it wasn’t just customers and interested parties who enjoyed it, but also Formlabs itself, who visited us at the trade fair. And we were also pleased to be able to speak to our Formlabs contacts in person at the stand and at a table again after a very long time – not just over the phone or on a screen as we have done for the last 24 months.
