Custom profiles (user-defined print profiles) for faster printing
Some 3D prints need a little more “stroking”. This may mean that you want to make your own print settings that don’t fit all your projects. This is where the new “Custom Profile Editor” in MakerBot Desktop 3.7 comes into play. It allows you to change print settings such as infill or extruder speed and save them as a template for future projects. The simple interface allows users of any level to create custom print profiles.
More security & deeper insights
Want to secure your local home or business Wi-Fi network? If you are using hidden Wi-Fi, you can still connect your MakerBot Replicater by simply entering the network name and password in MakerBot Desktop 3.7.
In addition, more data about your MakerBot Replicator Smart Extruder is available. Open the “Device Preferences” menu to get statistics on temperature, total printing time, etc.
Speed up printing times
Speed up your project by varying the layer heights within a 3D print. “Infill”, for example, does not need the same degree of fineness as the outer layer of the object. It is also possible that some parts of your model do not need the same degree of fineness and can have different layer heights. This results in faster 3D printing times with the same high quality.
