Raise3D Hyper Speed Filaments

The Hyper Speed and Hyper Core filament lines are specially developed filaments for Raise3D’s groundbreaking Hyper FFF™ technology for high-speed FFF 3D printing. Currently, most filaments on the market still hit an invisible “volume speed” wall; the filament cannot be extruded fast enough to keep up with the speed of the extruder movement.

In high-speed 3D printing, the filament is fed through the heating block very quickly. As a result, the polymer has very little time to change from a solid to a molten state. This leads to clogging of the nozzles and poor bonding quality between the layers.

To get around this, Raise3D has developed special filaments for Hyper FFF 3D printing.

Hyper Speed line

With optimized molecular weight and tuned flowability, Raise3D Hyper Speed filaments are able to achieve faster melting in the hot end and much faster cooling after the material is extruded. As a result, the surface quality of parts printed with Hyper Speed filaments is smooth and most sharp details are retained. Thanks to the optimized molecular weight, the Hyper Speed line offers excellent interlayer bonding quality and strength in the Z-direction.

Hyper Core Line

Fiber-reinforced composite filaments are the ideal material for the production of industrial and consumer parts for high-performance applications. This is because these materials have high heat resistance, strength and rigidity. However, printing fiber-reinforced filaments at high speed poses many challenges. For example, they have lower flowability and interlayer adhesion. They also promote faster wear of the nozzle.

The Hyper Core filaments therefore have a fiber-rich inner core in which most of the carbon fibers are well aligned and distributed. The excellent thermal conductivity of the carbon fiber-rich core accelerates the melting of the filament in the hot end. In addition, fewer fibers are embedded on the surface of the filament. As a result, the Hyper Core filaments significantly improve the strength in the Z-direction, the surface quality and also the service life of the nozzle.
