Maximum printing success with easy print setup

The Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W is set up for printing using the free Formlabs PreForm software. This is where you import your STL or OBJ files, align the models and arrange them. Printing times are then determined and the data for 3D printing is sent to the machine.

Numerous models can also be automatically arranged in the installation space with just a few mouse clicks. PreForm’s algorithms for arranging parts automatically align the models. This increases the packing density, which shortens the printing time and reduces waste.

SLS 3D printing that can be managed from anywhere

To set up the machine and prepare for printing, you are guided step by step on the intuitive touchscreen user interface. A live stream of the print bed is displayed during printing. This allows you to follow how your components take shape layer by layer. This camera view is also displayed on the computer in PreForm, allowing you to monitor the print from your desk.

The cloud-based dashboard allows you to stay in control of your production, even with multiple sites and machines. Track print jobs and material fill levels to ensure minimum downtime and maximum throughput.

Reliable, consistent SLS 3D printing

In the SLS 3D printing process (Selective Laser Sintering), polyamide powder (nylon) is melted together layer by layer. The non-fused powder within the build space supports the parts during the printing process. In this way, complex, movable or connected components can be manufactured without support structures.

The Fuse 1+ 30W uses Formlabs’ proprietary SLS technology (Surface Armor Technology), which prints a semi-sintered shell around the surface of the part. This technology is patent pending. As a result, with the Fuse 1+ 30W, Formlabs can offer competitive mechanical properties and high surface quality in an affordable SLS 3D printing system. The quality of the parts can be increased with the Fuse 1+ 30W by optionally printing in an inert gas atmosphere. This allows you to achieve industrial quality in the smallest of spaces and without industrial requirements.

Clean powder recycling and recovery

Several sub-steps of SLS 3D printing post-processing and preparation are combined in the Formlabs Fuse Sift powder recovery station. This device is used for component removal, powder recovery, storage and powder preparation.

With the Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W you can produce fully functional components. The high recyclability of the powder – with unlimited cycles – reduces waste and lowers unit costs.

The Fuse Sift automatically dispenses used and new powder in the correct mixing ratio. This can then be mixed on the Fuse Sift. This reduces waste and you have the powder supply under control.

Developed for 24/7 throughput

With the Fuse 1+ 30W, you benefit from very fast printing speeds. As a result, you can produce prototypes or small batches of end-use parts in less than 24 hours.

Achieve virtually uninterrupted throughput with the addition of an optional second build chamber to the system. These are removable, compatible with the Fuse 1+ 30W, the Fuse 1 and the Fuse Sift.

The build chamber can be removed from the printer approx. 1-2 hours after printing is complete. You can then start the next print with a second build chamber. This allows you to achieve uninterrupted throughput on one machine.
