Ultimaker PVA 2.85 mm 350 g
The new Ultimaker PVA material is a water-soluble filament that has been specially developed as a support material for the Ultimaker 3. PVA is used exclusively as a support material and dissolves completely after it has spent some time in a water bath. Therefore, the filament is only compatible with dual extruder FDM printers.
The big advantage of PVA is that designers do not have to consider any geometric restrictions when creating a 3D model. The material works well with Ultimaker PLA and nylon filaments and there are dedicated material profiles for these combinations in Cura.
Please note that PVA is very sensitive to moisture and absorbs moisture from the air. It is therefore important to use the roll as quickly as possible or to store it in a resealable vacuum bag with silica gel.
