n-Butyl acetate is a special washing liquid for cleaning your 3D-printed silicone parts. To clean components made of Formlabs Silicone 40A, a washing solution with 8l IPA and 2l acetic acid n-butyl ester must be prepared.

n-Butyl acetate is a special washing liquid for cleaning your 3D-printed silicone parts. To clean parts made of Formlabs Silicone 40A, a wash solution with 8l IPA and 2l acetic acid n-butyl ester must be prepared. Wash the printed parts in the silicone wash solution for 20 minutes.
Allow the parts to dry for at least 60 minutes after washing.
Post-curing
Formlabs Silicone 40A Resin must be post-cured to achieve its optimum mechanical properties. Place the silicone components in a glass. Fill it with water. Then place this in the Form Cure / Cure L. Allow the parts to cure in this way for 30 minutes at 60°C.
Post-cured silicone parts have a harmless odor that dissipates over time. To mask this odor, add Febreze HD to the water in the glass beaker before post-curing. Add 12.5 g Febreze HD per 500 mL of water.
