The Formlabs Form 4L Resin Tank is a removable, replaceable tray and serves as a resin container for the printing process. This resin tank is a key component of the Formlabs Form 4L 3D printer’s LFD printing process.

Formlabs Form 4L Resin Tank / Resin Tank and Mixer
The resin tank for the Formlabs Form 4L 3D printer and Form 4BL greatly reduces the release forces during the printing process thanks to its flexible base plate. The robust film at the bottom of the Form 4L Resin Tank is an important part of the LFD process and enables a dynamic and precise printing process, even for large-format printing. For even easier material management, we recommend using a separate Form 4L Resin Tank for each resin or resin ink.
Note: The Form 4L Resin Tank offers an improved print success rate compared to the previous version of the Form 3L Resin Tank and has no expiration time with caustic materials. The resin tanks are built to last and provide consistent performance for a minimum of 75,000 print layers (typically 1-2 years for the average user).
A Form 4L mixer is always required for printing. As a rule, resin mixers last for the entire service life of a printer. For practical reasons, we recommend using a separate resin mixer for each resin tank.
