The transparent synthetic resin appears almost translucent after polishing and is ideal for transparent or translucent objects or models whose internal features are to be emphasized.

Clear Resin is a rigid material that can be polished to near perfect optical transparency. Clear Resin V4.1 is compatible with Form 3 series printers and produces more color-neutral and transparent parts than Clear Resin V4.0. Clear Resin V4.0 and Clear Resin V4.1 have different formulations and pressure settings – for optimum performance, the two materials should not be mixed.

How to change from Clear Resin V4.0 to Clear Resin V.4.1 ?

Print all your existing Clear Resin V4.0 material.
Clean your resin container (it does not need to be cleaned with IPA. It is sufficient to scrape out the existing resin with a plastic scraper).
Start a print with a Clear Resin V4.1 cartridge and select the Clear Resin V4.1 settings in PreForm.
The printer recognizes that the tank does not fit and asks if you want to reprogram the tank.

Confirm on the printer’s user interface and the Clear Resin V4.0 tank will be reprogrammed to Clear Resin v4.1.

Formlabs Clear Resin is ideal for fluidics and mold making, optics, lighting and any part that needs to be translucent or show internal features. The SLA (stereolithography) 3D printing process makes it possible to produce transparent models.
