Formlabs Ceramic Wash Solution 5L
The Formlabs Ceramic Wash Solution is non-hazardous and non-flammable.
The parts made of Alumina 4N Resin must not come into contact with water or IPA, as this will cause cracks.
As nitrile gloves can swell on contact with the ceramic wash solution, it is recommended to wear two pairs of gloves when washing parts for longer periods.
Wash the printed parts in ceramic wash solution for 2 minutes. Use a separate wash bucket to prevent loose ceramic particles from sticking to parts that are not made of Alumina 4N. If you are using a finishing kit, brushes are very effective at removing resin.
Gently blow the parts with air, concentrating the airflow on corners and crevices. Wipe accessible surfaces dry with a paper towel.
If necessary, wash the printed parts in fresh ceramic wash solution for a further 2 minutes to remove foreign particles. For small parts or parts with delicate features, apply the ceramic wash solution directly with a spray bottle to effectively rinse the printed part. Blow the printed parts dry again or wipe them dry with a paper towel.
Minimize the time the printed part is in the ceramic wash solution to avoid cracking.
Although Alumina 4N Resin quickly turns the ceramic wash solution white, this is normal and does not affect its effectiveness. Replace the ceramic wash solution when it has reached a resin concentration of 8-12%, i.e. after approx. 6-8 months for intensive use, 1 year for moderate use or 30-50 liters of resin.
The ceramic washing solution is durable over a longer period of time.
