Our new partner CFSYS: Industrial 3D printing with high-performance fiber composite technology

CFSYS News

CFSYS is an innovative manufacturer of industrial 3D printing systems with a clear focus on high-strength fiber composite components and professional additive manufacturing solutions. The company develops and produces modern 3D printers, software tools and materials that are specially designed for industrial use – from functional prototype development to small and medium series production.

At the heart of the company’s philosophy is the conviction that additive manufacturing only creates real added value when mechanics, materials, process reliability and operability interact equally at an industrial level. CFSYS therefore pursues a holistic approach: machines, materials and software are consistently coordinated and continuously developed.

Technological focus: Rethinking additive manufacturing

Continuous fiber 3D printing for maximum component strength

A key unique selling point of CFSYS is 3D printing with continuous fibers. In contrast to conventional fiber-reinforced filaments, where only short fibers are distributed in the plastic, CFSYS integrates continuous carbon or glass fibers into the component during the printing process.

In addition, the CFSYS Bulber software makes it possible to carry out a virtual load test, a so-called FEM analysis, before starting the print. The software visualizes where stresses occur in the component and automatically suggests the optimal fibre distribution in order to save material and maximize stability at the same time.

This results in components with:

  • Significantly increased tensile and flexural strength
  • high rigidity with low weight
  • excellent load absorption along defined force lines

This technology makes it possible to replace many metallic components – with reduced costs, shorter production times and significantly lower weight.

Variety of materials for demanding applications

With the CFSYS system, you are completely free in your choice of material, as not only the CFSYS product range can be used, but materials from other manufacturers are also supported as long as they meet the technical requirements. This means that a wide range of engineering plastics and composite materials can be used, including

  • High-temperature thermoplastics
  • Carbon and glass fiber reinforced materials
  • Technical standard and engineering plastics

This makes the printers suitable for functional prototypes as well as for final components, tools, devices and resilient structural components.

Industrial automation and process reliability

CFSYS attaches great importance to a stable, reproducible and efficient printing process. Many functions that are crucial in an industrial environment are already integrated as standard:

  • Automated material and fiber handling
  • Heated and controlled printing environment
  • Integrated filament drying
  • Intelligent process monitoring
  • Reduced manual intervention in the production process

The result is a high throughput with consistent component quality – a decisive factor for companies that want to use additive manufacturing productively.

Software, integration and open system architecture

Another advantage of the CFSYS systems is their open and flexible architecture. The printers can be easily integrated into existing IT and production environments and offer interfaces for:

  • Network and remote monitoring
  • Data and process management
  • Individual adaptations to customer-specific workflows

The associated software is designed for industrial users: clear, stable and with a focus on process control rather than gimmicks.
