Polycarbonate is known for its high impact resistance, is often used for the production of rigid parts and is also very heat resistant (up to 110 °C). This makes it a perfect substitute for metals in high temperature environments (e.g. under the hood of a vehicle). Parts printed with PC are mainly used in the later stages of functional testing and assembly of finished parts.
