The new version of MakerBot Desktop and the firmware for the MakerBot 3D printers has recently been released.
The firmware update forms the basis for further improvements in print quality, which will be achieved with the upcoming version MakerBot Desktop 3.4. The first improvements will already be noticeable.
The new features and improvements of MakerBot Desktop 3.3 are:
– Improved communication between MakerBot 3D printers, MakerBot Desktop and MakerBot Mobile
– An automatic filament unload now follows the “out of filament” error
– The ability to change the Smart Extruder during a print pause and resume printing afterwards
– An optimized leveling process of the build platform (“assisted leveling”)
– A faster camera stream via USB and Ethernet
– An extended device preferences section for advanced users
Now download the MakerBot Desktop version 3.3.
And make a firmware update to benefit from these new possibilities and to be prepared for the improvements in print quality that will follow shortly. Initial print quality tests give us confidence in the future and we look forward to sharing the improvements with you soon.
In addition, an attempt is being made to integrate a print history into the library in order to be able to access print jobs that have already been executed even more quickly.
