MakerBot is constantly improving the software based on feedback about MakerBot Desktop. The wish was often expressed to be able to monitor the MakerBot Replicator from a “remote” network.

Now you can. As soon as you have activated the “Cloud Services” on your 3D printer, you can control & monitor the 3D printer from anywhere. So start a print on your home or office printer no matter which network you are on.

Easier 3D Printer Setup
The latest version of MakerBot Desktop includes a new Getting Started Tutorial that will help you set up your MakerBot Replicator faster. The new tutorial includes Wi-Fi setup, 3D printer registration and an automatic firmware update check to make sure your MakerBot is running the latest version offered by MakerBot.

Miscellaneous
In addition, some things have been improved and bugs fixed. These include an improved or finer adjustment of the z-axis on the Replicator 5th generation machines and a bug fix for printing with support material on the left extruder of the Replicator 2X.
