Five new products for simplified dentistry

Formlabs Dental is introducing five new additions to its industry-leading digital dentistry solutions. The improvements affect the entire dental work process, making digital dentistry simpler, easier and more intuitive.
The following products were presented by Formlabs at IDS 2023:
- Fast Cure: A new post-curing test station that cures dental applications 90 % faster than the standard Form Cure.
- PreForm Dental: The new workspace for the PreForm print preparation software, which is completely tailored to a dental application for dental print preparation. Thanks to the ability to create preset orientation and support settings for each dental indication, you can automate workflows with fewer clicks.
- Fast printing of sheets: Print eight sheets in 20 minutes thanks to optimized print settings for dental sheets.
- PreForm integration with 3Shape Produce: one-click printing from 3Shape to PreForm, simplifying file management and workflow.
- New Bleach shade for temporary CB resin: Give your patients a radiant white Hollywood smile.
Following various feedback from Formlabs customers, it was determined that digital workflows should be faster and simpler. With the new product announcements, Formlabs continues to strive to fulfill this vision. These new products and features provide greater efficiency by allowing dentists to spend more time with their patients and less time printing.
Dental technology in just one day with the Fast Cure
The Fast Cure (right) complements the dental product range alongside the Form 3B+ and the Form Wash.
With the new post-curing station for dental applications, the curing of a splint is completed in six minutes, while the standard Form Cure requires 60 minutes for the same splint.
Post-processing is the last step before the models can be delivered to patients. The overall time of the workflow – from scanning a patient to delivering the final model – depends heavily on the curing time. With 50 powerful LED lamps, higher light intensity and no preheating, Fast Cure is a next-generation leap forward for fast dental workflows.

Safety and compliance are always a priority. Formlabs Dental resins have been extensively tested, validated and coordinated with Fast Cure to ensure a safe workflow. PreFrom Dental and Fast Cure improve an already industry-leading workflow in digital dentistry.
PreForm Dental now simplifies numerous work steps. Once a patient’s dentition has been scanned and a dental model designed, the model can be loaded directly into the 3D printer. In this crucial step, the parts are loaded into PreForm and the print orientation is set before the models are printed.
