Today, additive manufacturing enables the production of components with complex geometries, high functionality and great design freedom. However, one thing often remains a challenge: the surface. Raw parts that are produced using an SLS 3D printer naturally have a slightly rough, porous structure. This is precisely where the new DyeMansion ASM VX1<\/strong> comes in, which we now have in our range. <\/p>\n

What is vapor smoothing anyway?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Vapor smoothing is a post-processing method in which the top layer of a 3D-printed component is specifically dissolved and restructured. The material is slightly liquefied by a solvent in a vapour state, which reorganizes and compacts the surface. <\/p>\n
