At the end of November we attended the ERFA-CAD<\/a><\/span> conference in Uster.<\/p>\n

ERFA-CAD is an interest group of around 30 mainly teaching staff at technical vocational colleges in German-speaking Switzerland. The ERFA group meets about twice a year at a member’s school to exchange experiences, in which Autodesk also participates and provides information. The ERFA group was founded in Grenchen in 1985 for the CAD program AutoCAD<\/a><\/em><\/span>. In the meantime, however, the applications Autodesk Inventor<\/a><\/em><\/span> and Solid-Works<\/em> are now the focus. <\/p>\n

In addition to a presentation by Ph. Binkert on “3D today and in the future” and “3D scanning with demo”, K. B\u00fcchel spoke about her experiences with MakerBot 3D printers in vocational school lessons. Ms. B\u00fcchel from the vocational school in Uster & R\u00fcti and a colleague from the vocational school in Chur are already successfully using MakerBot 3D printers in the classroom: they use the machines in CAD software training and also use the 3D printers for project work by students in technical professions such as design engineers or polymechanics. <\/p>\n

Following these two presentations, we introduced our company “Scheuss & Partner AG<\/a><\/span>” to the visitors and, as an authorized reseller of MakerBot<\/a>, we presented the devices<\/a><\/span> and the exclusive conditions<\/a><\/span> & services<\/a><\/span> that you receive from us as a result. Those present listened intently to our explanations, asked questions and examined machines and sample prints. <\/p>\n

Based on the positive feedback from organizers and participants and the demand for brochures, we are convinced that we have made a significant contribution to the further training of teachers. We look forward to continuing to support Switzerland’s vocational schools in the future with innovative technology, convincing service and the best conditions. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
