We are still in the test phase &#8211; but would like to report on our initial experiences. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8850\" src=\"https:\/\/dedune53.myhostpoint.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Replicator-Flexible-Filament-1.jpg\" alt=\"Replicator+ Flexible Filament 1\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/3d-edu.ch\/wp-content\/smush-avif\/2017\/02\/Replicator-Flexible-Filament-1.jpg.avif 667w, https:\/\/3d-edu.ch\/wp-content\/smush-avif\/2017\/02\/Replicator-Flexible-Filament-1-380x285.jpg.avif 380w, https:\/\/3d-edu.ch\/wp-content\/smush-avif\/2017\/02\/Replicator-Flexible-Filament-1-240x180.jpg.avif 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><br \/>\nTo print flexible filament with the Replicator+, you need a <a href=\"https:\/\/dedune53.myhostpoint.ch\/makerbot\/makerbot-filament\/makerbot-tough-pla-filament\/\">Tough PLA SmartExtruder+<\/a>, Custom Settings and possibly a manual Z-axis offset. We have currently made the following settings in the Custom Settings: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extruder: Temperature 235\u00b0C, Filament Diameter 1.77, Retraction Distance 0mm<\/li>\n<li>Shells: Shell Print Speed 20mm\/s<\/li>\n<li>Infill: Infill Print Speed 20mm\/s<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The most difficult step is loading the filament. We currently recommend clamping the flexible filament between your fingers during the process until the filament extrudes a little. Then the loading process should end immediately. So far, we have only printed without a Raft. To do this, however, we had to perform a manual Z-axis offset. You can do this via &#8220;Printers&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;Utilities&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;Calibration&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;Z-Axis Offset&#8221;.
