Nylon PA6 C4 filament
Included in the scope of delivery
- 1 spool of nylon PA6 C4 filament 1 kg anthracite
Properties
- Nylon PA6 C4 is a filament based on polyamide 6, a widely used technical material for industrial applications, in automotive engineering and in the electrical industry.
- Thanks to its excellent values and the possibility of using additives such as glass fibers, minerals or carbon fibers, the properties can be adapted to the application.
- Mechanical reworking is possible at any time.
- The production of this industrial compound, with the addition of 20% carbon fibers with a fiber length of 6 mm, results in a fiber length of 800-900 µm in the end product.
Printing recommendations
- To print the PA6 C4 filament, we recommend the MakerBot Experimental Extruder.
- A hardened nozzle from 0.4mm – 0.5mm because of the abrasiveness.
- The ideal layer height is between 0.15 – 0.20 mm.
- Apply water-soluble glue stick for adhesion to the building board.
- Store the coil in a DryBox during printing.
The Experimental Extruder is compatible with the
- Makerbot Replicator+
- MakerBot Replicator 5th Generation
- MakerBot Replicator Z18
*The Experimental Extruder, third party materials and print recommendations are experimental products and are not covered by warranty or MakerCare. 3D-EDU GmbH disclaims all liability.

Specifications
- Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
- Coil diameter: 200 mm
- Coil width: 80 mm
- Coil axle hole: 53 mm
Working environment
Store the filament in a cool, dry place in vacuum packaging. It can absorb moisture from the air and prolonged absorption of moisture can severely impair the quality of the filament and its performance.
